Standing in my kitchen, I looked over at my daughter, sitting at the kitchen table and a feeling of gratitude over came me. I walked over and gave her a kiss on the cheek and told her that I loved her. I felt like I wanted to remember this moment forever, so I stood in front of her and took a picture. I laughed because the first things I noticed were that the lid was off her drink, there is a sticky note Wrenley put on the cabinet door from her grandma, and the other cabinet door was wide open. Although this picture is a slightly chaotic and not perfectly curated to todays expectations, this picture moved me in ways I can only try to put into words.
2025, year 30, was a huge year of transition for me. I left my “dream” career in education after three years of pouring myself into it. I started my masters degree in Business Administration, and I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy to complete our family. In the past year and a half I have been working hard on my masters, all while scheming, dreaming, and manifesting my next life adventure. My only specific goal in mind has been to conquer it all. For me that means; raise my babies, take care of myself, inspire others through my life and my work, and of course, the thing that makes the world go around, make money while doing it.
There has been many things that have inspired me to get to the point of writing and creating this blog. I plan on sharing that all soon. It started with a simple google search, “How do I start a blog?” I have reached a very vulnerable position in getting to this point where I actually click, “post.” However, I truly believe that you grow and learn the most when you embrace the vulnerability and dive in head first.
If you have made it this far, THANK YOU for supporting my vulnerability and I hope you stay for the journey.
You may be wondering, “What can we expect to see next?” I am so excited to share that! The honest answer is, a little bit of everything that makes up the “Curated Chaos” that I call my life.
You’ll see pieces of my journey as I navigate the “chaos” of motherhood and build a life that aligns with who I truly want to be. This blog will also be a place where I share the things that make our house a home, to include recipes we love, family adventures, travel memories, mom fashion, budgeting, planning, and the systems that help keep our life “curated.”
I want this to be a place where I can embrace real, rather than perfect, and inspire, rather than influence. If you’re in a season of growth, transition, motherhood, building, dreaming, or just trying to figure it all out, I hope you’re here to stay!
